Website, quote, order, and payment terms.
These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the Shieldline Equipment Group Inc. website, including catalogue browsing, contact forms, quote requests, product sourcing requests, department supply requests, supplier inquiries, online payments, invoices, and any future online ordering features.
1. Who We Are

2. Legal Rights and Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are intended to apply to business, organizational, workplace, supplier, and customer transactions with Shieldline Equipment Group Inc.
Nothing in these terms is intended to limit, exclude, or replace any rights, remedies, warranties, protections, or obligations that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law. Where a customer is entitled to rights under applicable consumer protection, sale of goods, privacy, payment, product safety, or other laws, those legal rights continue to apply.
If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unenforceable, or inconsistent with applicable law, that part will be interpreted or limited only to the extent necessary, and the remaining terms will continue to apply where permitted by law.
3. Website Use and Online Catalogue
The Shieldline website is provided for general business information, catalogue browsing, quote requests, product sourcing, supplier inquiries, and customer communication.
You agree not to misuse the website, submit false information, interfere with website operation, attempt unauthorized access, upload harmful files, or use the website for unlawful purposes. Shieldline may update, change, suspend, or remove website content, products, forms, pages, or features at any time without notice.
Catalogue information is provided for general reference and does not guarantee product availability, pricing, supplier approval, delivery time, or suitability for a specific use. Unless a product is clearly marked as available for direct online purchase, customers should assume that pricing, availability, freight, lead time, and product details must be confirmed by quote.
4. Quote Requests and Quote Validity
Many Shieldline products and services are handled through a quote-based process. When a customer submits a quote request, product sourcing request, department supply request, or other inquiry, Shieldline may review the request, check supplier options where available, and prepare a quote based on the information provided.
Quotes may include product pricing, estimated freight, estimated lead time, product notes, special-order terms, payment requirements, and other relevant details. A quote is not an order until the customer has approved the quote, met any required payment conditions, and Shieldline has accepted the order.
Quotes are valid only for the period stated on the quote. If no quote-validity period is stated, the quote should be treated as subject to change. Supplier pricing, freight, duties, currency, product availability, and lead times may change without notice. Shieldline may revise or withdraw a quote if supplier pricing, product availability, freight, or other order conditions change before payment and order acceptance.
5. Customer Responsibility for Quote Details
Customers are responsible for reviewing quotes carefully before approval. This includes confirming product descriptions, quantities, sizes, colours, specifications, model numbers, part numbers, delivery location, billing details, required dates, compatibility requirements, intended use, and any special instructions.
Shieldline may assist with product sourcing and quote preparation, but the customer remains responsible for confirming that the quoted products meet their needs unless Shieldline has agreed in writing to provide a specific specification review service.
6. Payment Terms, Square Payments, and Purchase Orders
For quote-only, special-order, custom, bulk, protected-brand, supplier-sourced, technical, life-safety, or non-stock products, full customer payment is required before Shieldline places the supplier order unless written customer credit terms have been approved by Shieldline.
Supplier orders are not placed until required payment has been received and cleared. This customer-funded order model helps prevent unpaid supplier-backed orders, incorrect purchasing, unnecessary inventory risk, and unsupported order commitments.
Shieldline may accept payment by approved methods, which may include Square, invoice payment, credit card, EFT, or other approved payment options. Payments processed through Square may also be subject to Square’s own terms, privacy policy, processing rules, and security practices. Shieldline does not intend to store full credit card numbers on its website.
Customers should not send credit card numbers, banking information, or payment details through regular website forms or email unless specifically directed through a secure payment method.
Purchase Orders may be accepted for customer purchasing approval, administration, and reference purposes. A Purchase Order is not treated as payment unless written credit terms have been approved by Shieldline Equipment Group Inc.
7. Taxes
Applicable taxes, including GST/HST where required, will be charged according to applicable law and the customer’s order details.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing information, tax-exemption documentation if applicable, and any information needed to process an invoice correctly.
8. Special-Order, Supplier-Sourced, and Quote-Only Products
Special-order, custom, bulk, quote-only, protected-brand, supplier-sourced, technical, restricted, life-safety, or non-stock products may be ordered specifically for the customer.
Once Shieldline has placed the supplier order, these products are non-cancellable and non-refundable except where required by law, where the supplier or manufacturer cancels or cannot supply the item, or where Shieldline approves an exception in writing.
Special-order terms may also be subject to supplier, distributor, manufacturer, freight, warranty, and return policies.
9. Availability, Backorders, and Lead Times
Product availability, supplier stock, freight, and lead times may change without notice. Any lead time provided by Shieldline is an estimate only.
Lead times may vary due to supplier availability, freight delays, manufacturing delays, customs, weather, remote delivery factors, backorders, product allocation, or other circumstances outside Shieldline’s control.
Shieldline will make reasonable efforts to communicate known delays, but does not guarantee delivery by a specific date unless confirmed in writing.
10. Shipping, Freight, Delivery, and Pickup
Shipping, freight, delivery, courier, direct-ship, or pickup options may vary depending on the product, supplier, customer location, freight rules, and order size.
Freight may be quoted separately or included in the quote depending on supplier and customer requirements. Risk of loss, delivery timelines, freight damage procedures, and delivery terms may be subject to supplier, courier, freight carrier, or manufacturer policies.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and reviewing deliveries promptly upon receipt.
11. Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Shipments
Customers should inspect shipments as soon as possible after delivery. If an item appears damaged, missing, incorrect, or incomplete, the customer should contact Shieldline promptly with order details, photos, packaging information, delivery records, and any other supporting information.
Freight damage, missing items, incorrect shipments, and supplier errors may be subject to supplier, carrier, manufacturer, courier, or freight claim deadlines. Shieldline will assist where reasonably possible, but final resolution may depend on supplier, manufacturer, courier, or freight carrier policies.
12. Returns, Exchanges, Cancellations, and Refunds
Returns and exchanges are subject to Shieldline approval, supplier policies, manufacturer policies, product condition, product category, and applicable law.
Stocked or standard products may be eligible for return only if approved in advance and returned in unused, original, resalable condition with all packaging, labels, manuals, accessories, and documentation.
Special-order, custom, bulk, quote-only, protected-brand, supplier-sourced, technical, restricted, life-safety, worn, used, altered, opened, expired, or non-resalable products may not be eligible for return. Shipping, restocking fees, supplier fees, freight charges, and payment processing fees may apply where permitted by law.
Requests to cancel an order must be submitted as soon as possible. Orders may not be cancellable once Shieldline has placed the supplier order, especially for special-order, custom, quote-only, bulk, protected-brand, supplier-sourced, technical, restricted, life-safety, or non-stock products.
Approved refunds will be processed using a method determined by Shieldline and may be subject to processing timelines from Square, banks, credit card providers, or other payment processors. Refunds are not guaranteed unless required by law or approved by Shieldline.
13. Warranty and Product Claims
Shieldline does not create, extend, or modify manufacturer or supplier warranties. Product warranties, if any, are provided by the manufacturer or supplier and are subject to their terms, conditions, limitations, and approval.
Shieldline may assist customers with warranty inquiries where reasonably possible, but warranty approval, repair, replacement, credit, or denial remains subject to the manufacturer or supplier.
Product descriptions, certifications, ratings, standards, specifications, and warranty information should be based on supplier or manufacturer documentation.
14. Safety, PPE, Technical, and Life-Safety Products
Some products sold or sourced by Shieldline may involve PPE, fire/rescue use, emergency response, respiratory protection, gas detection, confined space, fall protection, technical rescue, FR clothing, arc-rated products, industrial safety, or other safety-sensitive uses.
Customers and end users are responsible for ensuring that products are selected, used, inspected, maintained, stored, fitted, and replaced according to applicable laws, employer requirements, workplace procedures, manufacturer instructions, standards, training requirements, and competent-person guidance.
Shieldline does not replace the need for proper training, hazard assessment, fit testing, inspection, professional advice, manufacturer instructions, or workplace safety procedures.
15. Product Images, Descriptions, Pricing, and Website Errors
Product images, descriptions, specifications, availability notes, and catalogue information are provided for general reference and may be supplied by manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, or other permitted sources. Images may not show the exact size, colour, configuration, packaging, accessories, or current model.
Shieldline may correct errors, update product information, revise descriptions, remove products, or change catalogue content at any time.
Shieldline reserves the right to correct pricing errors, product errors, stock errors, technical errors, typographical errors, or website errors. If an error affects a quote, order, invoice, or product listing, Shieldline may revise the quote, cancel the order, refund payment where appropriate, or contact the customer to confirm whether they wish to proceed under corrected terms.
16. Authorized Dealer, Brand, and Supplier Status
Shieldline does not claim to be an authorized dealer, distributor, reseller, or representative of any supplier, manufacturer, or brand unless that status has been confirmed in writing.
Brand names, product names, logos, images, descriptions, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Shieldline aims to represent supplier and manufacturer information responsibly and will update or remove product information where required by supplier or manufacturer instructions.
17. Customer Accounts and Credit Terms
Shieldline may choose whether to approve, deny, modify, suspend, or cancel customer accounts or credit terms.
Customer credit terms, if ever offered, must be approved in writing by Shieldline. Until written credit terms are approved, orders requiring supplier purchase will require customer approval and full payment before supplier order placement.
18. User-Submitted Information and Files
Customers may submit information, product lists, photos, documents, specification sheets, old invoices, or other files through website forms or email.
By submitting information or files, you confirm that you are authorized to share them and that the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Do not upload unlawful, harmful, confidential, restricted, misleading, or unauthorized material.
19. Third-Party Services
Shieldline may use third-party services for website hosting, forms, email, payments, invoicing, accounting, shipping, analytics, security, backups, and other business operations.
These services may include WordPress, WPForms, Square, Microsoft 365, website hosting providers, courier or freight providers, and other service providers. Use of third-party services may also be subject to those providers’ own terms, privacy policies, and security practices.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shieldline Equipment Group Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or business-interruption damages arising from website use, product delays, supplier delays, freight delays, product unavailability, incorrect customer information, misuse of products, failure to follow manufacturer instructions, or use of products outside their intended purpose.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.
21. No Guarantee of Product Availability or Suitability
Submitting a quote request, sourcing request, department supply request, or online inquiry does not guarantee that a product can be sourced, supplied, approved, delivered, or made available within a specific timeline.
Shieldline may decline to quote, source, sell, or supply a product at its discretion.
22. Privacy
Use of the Shieldline website and submission of forms or order information is also subject to Shieldline’s Privacy Policy.
Please review the Privacy Policy for information about how Shieldline collects, uses, shares, and protects personal and business information.
23. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Newfoundland and Labrador and the applicable laws of Canada.
Any disputes will be handled according to applicable law.
24. Changes to These Terms
Shieldline may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised Last updated date.
Continued use of the website or continued business with Shieldline after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms and Conditions.
